Post-Graduate Program
Our post-graduate program offers professional and personal development relevant to our unique field. We welcome those who have already qualified as Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (CSBs) or Somatic Sex Educators in various trainings around the world, as well as those who have completed their training through the Institute for the Study of Somatic Sex Education (ISSSE) or the Somatic Sex Educators’ Association (SSEA). You become a Certified Somatic Sex Educator with ISSSE by completing our post-graduate program. The Post-Graduate Program is also relevant to our own already-certified graduates who want to continue and deepen their learning.
Course Description
Certified Sexological Bodyworkers – Advanced Training

The Post Graduate course for Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (CSBs) is a 9-month or 12-month program that provides continuing education and essential updates and innovations in the field of Somatic Sex Education to support Certified Sexological Bodyworkers (CSBs) who studied at various schools around the globe. For CSBs who trained many years ago, the contents of this course will be brand new. The Post Graduate Course expands on the core curriculum of sexological bodywork by offering:
- New and updated somatic coaching practices and core teachings of sexological bodywork
- New Videos, recordings, and writings
- Current teachings in neuroscience that explain the efficacy of somatic sex education
- Embodiment tools for getting clear about power dynamics and racial justice.
- Genital anatomy mapping beyond the binary and support for clients across the gender galaxy
- Empowering choice and voice in client sessions
- Professional Embodied Ethics teachings and practice
- Loving Justice Model- a model of care, accountability, and skills for conflict
- Building and maintaining a Trauma-Informed Practice

Course Includes
The Post Graduate program for CSBs includes:
- Nine-month online learning within the structure of a small cohort of peers, including monthly and bi-monthly calls with mentors and leaders in our field.
- Weekly community of practice calls with the entire school community
- 7-day in-person intensive in either Victoria, British Columbia, Canada or Seattle, Washington, USA
- Optional 3-month supervision to earn a Certification of Somatic Sex Education from the Institute

Course Skill-Building Levels
1. Modality
Modality Skills in the domain of somatic sex education – including interpersonal neurobiology, mindful erotic practice, gender diversity, genital anatomy and homology and genital mapping, with practice in expanded somatic awareness, presence, autonomic nervous system regulation and choice
2. Befriending
Befriending Skills for supporting counter -normative practices of joy and creativity, including unlearning perfectionism, embracing failing and messiness, valuing asking for help and honouring complexity.
3. Interactive
Interactive Skills for enhancing choice and voice in their personal sexual relationships and in empowering client communication around boundaries, desires, and choosing pleasure.
4. New Culture
New Culture Skills for building individual and community capacity to understand and engage with embodied oppressions that shape our personal and cultural experiences of sex, gender, sexuality and relationship.
